Patrick Dempsey plays ‘Tom’ a popular ladies man who finally realises that long time girl-friend ‘Hannah’ (Michelle Monaghan) is the one he wants – unfortunately he realises this too late and Hannah is already engaged. Tom agrees to be Maid of Honor in an attempt to sabotage the wedding.
I get so excited about new chick flicks, that my expectations can rise sky high – then when the film is just OK I feel a little disappointed. But that’s just me! This film is definitely enjoyable and cute, but it was just OK.
I loved the lead actress Michelle Monaghan in Gone Baby Gone, but not so much in this. I don’t know why, maybe they made her too tomboyish in this role for me – where was the glamorous clothes – the girlie style?

I haven’t seen this movie, as I refuse too because it a blatent rip off of My Best Friends Wedding, which was an awesome movie, the only difference is that the main character is a man this time!!!!

Finally, managed to get on and comment on this. Saw it on the plane to LA. Liked the story, I agree, I think it needed to be more girlie with the stylie dresses for it to be more like a chick-flick and maybe more modern – who knows, maybe i haven’t seen enough chick-flicks !!
